Virginia Imaz |
Co-founder of the theatrical group OihulariKlown, Virginia has been a professional clown since 1988. She has directed more than 40 “Clown
Spectacles”, half of which have been performed by her own company. She, herself, is a specialist in “Clownclusions”,
a comic summary of the proceedings of meetings, seminars and forums. Virginia understands the clown’s role, above
all, as a means of diversion, as an invitation to ceremony with humour. “There
is something magical, something sacred, and something extremely serious in
cultivating humour because humour is vital for healing, for recovering
ourselves from everyday dramas. Humour puts things in their places, fades
tragedy and redeems us. The
“Clownconclusionists” put their money on comedy, even if, or precisely because
of the need to communicate the grave and the serious. Their interventions are surely an occasion
for distraction but they are also an occasion for reflexion.

Libre,
